EHCP SUPPORT

An Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is a legal document designed to support children and young people aged 0–25 who require additional help that goes beyond what is normally available in mainstream education.

 

An EHCP outlines:

• A clear description of the child’s special educational needs (SEN)

• The support they require across education, health, and social care

• The desired outcomes and how these will be achieved

• The type and level of educational provision they are entitled to

 

It is a powerful tool to ensure your child’s needs are recognised and met — both now and in the future.

Initial Enquiry Meeting:

This is a 30-minute telephone call  to understand your child’s needs and where you are in the EHCP process.

More In-Depth EHC Needs Analysis 

This is a 90-minute (1.5 hours) meeting, where we will identify your goals and formulate a strategy plan, on how we can best support you and your child during this process, which for many often leads to stress, anxiety and frustration. The entire process from start to finish is complex and lengthy and may feel overwhelming. Therefore, it is extremely helpful for parents (guardians) to know that their allocated Chartered Psychologist from NYM is reliable, transparent, trustworthy and highly professional at all times, who will always ensure the best interests of the client.
